Huntsville, AL - North Alabama SC has named Amar Amin as Head Coach of our USL League Two (USL2) team for the 2023 season.

Amar has served as a Head Coach with North Alabama SC for more than 15-years. He has multiple years of pre-professional coaching experience with North Alabama SC – having served as Goalkeeper Coach and Assistant Coach for our WPSL (2019-2022) and NPSL (2021-2022) teams. Amar also served Head Coach for our NPSL U19 team (2022). Amar currently serves as North Alabama SC’s Goalkeeping Director and Head Coach for the 2010 Boys NPL and 2006 Boys NPL teams.

“We are excited to name Coach Amar as our USL2 Head Coach. Amar has been a fixture in our North Alabama soccer community and with NASC for more than 15-years. Amar brings experience, leadership, and a proven track record to the position,” said North Alabama SC DOC Henry Mpagi. “We are excited for Amar to lead our team for its inaugural season in the USL2.”

Amar graduated with a B.S. and M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Mississippi State University. He is currently an Aerospace Engineer supporting the US Army. 

Amar currently holds a USSF “B” License and United Soccer Coaches (USC) Advanced National and Advanced National Goalkeeping Diplomas.
